As an Account Manager, you'll play a key role in the successful delivery of integrated healthcare communications programmes, acting as a trusted day-to-day contact for your clients while supporting senior colleagues to deliver strategic, high-quality work. You'll oversee multiple projects, mentor junior team members and help identify opportunities to grow client relationships within a fast-paced, collaborative agency.

  • Build strong, trusted relationships with clients, acting as their primary day-to-day point of contact and ensuring consistently high levels of service.
  • Lead the delivery of healthcare communications projects from briefing through to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets and quality standards are met.
  • Develop tactical proposals and communications plans that support client objectives and demonstrate strategic thinking.
  • Work closely with senior colleagues to identify opportunities for organic account growth and contribute to new business initiatives.
  • Manage project finances, monitor budgets and ensure programmes are delivered efficiently and profitably.
  • Collaborate with internal specialists to deliver creative, scientifically accurate and impactful communications.
  • Support and mentor junior team members, providing guidance, feedback and opportunities for development.
  • Maintain excellent communication across internal teams and clients, proactively identifying challenges and implementing solutions.
  • Contribute to a positive agency culture by participating in internal initiatives, networking opportunities and ongoing professional development.

Experience and qualities that make you a strong fit

  • Previous Account Manager experience gained within a healthcare communications, healthcare advertising or medical communications agency.
  • Strong client management skills with the confidence to build trusted relationships and provide strategic consultancy.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while balancing competing priorities.
  • Excellent organisational skills with experience managing budgets, timelines and project delivery.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to identify opportunities to grow existing client relationships.
  • Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior colleagues within an agency environment.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a genuine passion for delivering high-quality healthcare communications.
  • An interest in embracing new technologies and innovative ways of working to enhance client delivery.
