Business Development Director - Strategic Pharma Partnerships

A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Director to join an established healthcare communications agency in Ontario, Canada. You’ll take ownership of new business growth, building relationships with pharmaceutical and biotech clients across North America and helping shape the agency’s continued expansion.

Everything you need to know about the role

As Business Development Director, you will:

• Own the sales process from prospecting through to securing new business
• Develop relationships with Medical Director and other senior pharma and biotech decision-makers
• Identify new clients and commercial opportunities across the US and Canada
• Lead pitches, proposals and RFP responses
• Work with internal teams to develop tailored client solutions
• Represent the agency at relevant industry events and conferences

Experience and qualities that make you a strong fit

• 5+ years’ business development or sales experience
• Strong network and knowledge of the US pharmaceutical/biotech market
• Proven track record generating significant new business revenue
• Confident pitching, negotiating and closing at senior level
• Commercial, strategic and naturally relationship-focused
