Do you enjoy building client relationships, bringing brands and campaigns to life, and getting out to meet people? Have you gained experience in advertising, marketing or client services and want a role with more commercial responsibility?
This is an opportunity to join a healthcare technology and digital advertising business, helping pharmaceutical brands connect with patients and healthcare professionals through targeted campaigns.
You’ll combine account ownership with presentations, networking, events and client hospitality. If you’re confident talking business over a campaign presentation or building rapport at a client dinner, this could be an exciting next step.
You must be based in NYC or within commuting distance, with enthusiasm for frequent face-to-face meetings, industry events and client entertainment. Home working fits around an active, externally facing role.
Everything you need to know about the role
As Client Experience Associate, you’ll build relationships with advertising and media agencies and life sciences clients, helping them understand how digital advertising solutions can support their brands.
Working alongside experienced client experience colleagues, you’ll take responsibility for smaller accounts, campaigns and commercial activity. You’ll contribute ideas, identify opportunities and keep client relationships moving forward.
There’s a strong social element, too. Events, networking and hospitality are an important part of how you’ll build trust and develop lasting partnerships.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building relationships with agency buyers, marketing teams and life sciences clients through regular virtual and face-to-face contact.
- Taking ownership of smaller client accounts or campaigns, coordinating activity and keeping clients informed.
- Preparing and contributing to capability presentations, product demonstrations, pitches and proposals.
- Identifying opportunities for new business, campaign renewals and account growth.
- Attending industry events and arranging or participating in client hospitality and entertainment.
- Working with internal teams to deliver effective digital campaigns for patient and healthcare professional audiences.
- Keeping account plans, commercial activity and Salesforce records organised and up to date.
Experience and qualities that make you a strong fit
You could be an Account Executive, junior Account Manager, Client Services Associate or commercially minded client experience professional looking for greater ownership.
Experience in healthcare advertising or media would be valuable, but pharmaceutical experience isn’t essential. Candidates from consumer advertising, digital marketing, media and creative agencies are encouraged to apply. Relevant experience in another commercial, client-facing environment will also be considered.
You’ll bring:
- A bachelor’s degree and around 1–2+ years’ relevant commercial experience in account management, advertising, media, marketing or a commercial client-facing role.
- Direct responsibility for client relationships, projects or campaigns, with examples of taking initiative independently.
- Experience attending or helping deliver client events and hospitality, with a genuine enjoyment of networking, socialising and face-to-face engagement.
- Confident presentation skills and the ability to build rapport with different audiences.
- Commercial curiosity and an appetite for developing business, growing accounts and contributing to revenue.
- Strong organisation, sound judgement and the confidence to manage competing priorities.
- An interest in digital advertising and a willingness to learn about pharmaceutical marketing.
What’s on offer?
- Base salary of $70,000 – $80,000, depending on experience
- Equity as part of a comprehensive benefits package.
- Training in pharmaceutical marketing, industry terminology and the business’s advertising solutions.
- Exposure to advertising agencies, life sciences brands and digital campaigns.
- Independent responsibility alongside support from experienced colleagues.
- Excellent career progression opportunity - the opportunity to develop towards more senior account ownership and sales responsibilities.
- Home working alongside frequent client meetings, events and hospitality across NYC, with occasional travel further afield.
