Senior Consultant / Consulting Director – Life Sciences Strategy Consulting

An exciting opportunity to join an ambitious, independent life sciences consultancy that's challenging traditional approaches to pharmaceutical strategy.

Working with leading pharmaceutical and healthcare organisations, the business combines strategic thinking, industry insight and creativity to tackle complex commercial, medical and patient-focused challenges.

With a growing consulting practice and strong pipeline of work, they're looking for an experienced Consulting Director to strengthen their senior delivery capability and support continued growth.

Everything you need to know about the role:

• Work closely with the Head of Consulting, providing senior strategic oversight across client engagements.

• Lead complex consulting projects from initial scoping through to delivery.

• Mentor and support consultants, ensuring consistently high-quality work.

• Build trusted relationships with senior pharmaceutical stakeholders, leading workshops and strategic discussions.

• Support proposals, account development and the evolution of the consulting offering.

Projects span three core areas:

• Commercial Strategy & Excellence: Brand planning, launch excellence, customer strategy and commercial effectiveness.

• Medical Affairs Transformation: Strengthening the strategic role and capabilities of Medical Affairs teams.

• Patient Strategy & Engagement: Developing patient-centric strategies and translating insights into action.

Experience and qualities that make you a strong fit:

• Significant experience in pharmaceutical or life sciences strategy/management consulting.

• Strong expertise in at least one of the three consulting areas, ideally with broader pharmaceutical industry exposure.

• Proven experience leading complex consulting projects and delivering actionable strategic recommendations.

• Confident engaging senior pharmaceutical clients and facilitating strategic workshops.

• Experience mentoring consultants and providing strategic direction.

• Commercially aware, creative and solutions-focused, with a hands-on approach to delivery.
