Working across pharmaceutical and life sciences clients, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping communications strategies, leading high-performing teams and helping drive the next stage of growth for a consultancy that's already making a significant mark on the industry.
Everything you need to know about the role
This is a genuinely strategic role where you'll act as a senior advisor to clients, helping solve complex communications challenges while leading programmes that deliver measurable impact. You'll have significant autonomy, influence and visibility, both with clients and internally as the agency continues to grow.
You'll:
- Build trusted partnerships with senior client stakeholders, providing strategic counsel and bringing fresh perspectives to business challenges
- Lead the development and delivery of integrated healthcare marketing communications programmes across pharmaceutical and life sciences accounts, spanning strategic planning, medical education, disease awareness, patient support and brand and promotional campaigns
- Lead and inspire cross-functional teams, creating an environment where people can perform at their best and produce exceptional work
- Identify opportunities for organic account growth and contribute to new business activities, helping drive the continued success of the consultancy
- Actively contribute to agency-wide initiatives, helping shape service offerings, ways of working and the future direction of the business
- Champion innovation, embracing new approaches, technologies and thinking that help clients achieve better outcomes
Experience and qualities that make you a strong fit
Significant experience within pharmaceutical, life sciences or healthcare communications – gained within a healthcare advertising, marketing, communications, creative or digital agency environment – Healthcare brand & promotional campaigns experience is a must!
- You’ll currently be an Account Director or Senior Account Director with a strong track record of leading client relationships and complex programmes
- Deep sector understanding of pharmaceutical communications, including engagement with healthcare professionals across a range of channels and audiences
- Strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to connect client objectives to meaningful communications solutions
- Confidence working with scientific content and translating complex information into clear, impactful communications
- Experience managing and developing teams, fostering collaboration and high performance
- Commercial awareness, with experience supporting business growth, account development and new business opportunities
- A growth mindset, curiosity for emerging trends and enthusiasm for innovation, including the practical application of AI within communications
