Research Manager – Healthcare Insights - Full-Service Healthcare Consultancy
I’m supporting a fast-growing, innovation-driven healthcare insights consultancy that is looking to bring in a Research Manager to join their expanding Insights team. This role would suit someone who thrives in a modern, agile, tech-enabled environment and wants to contribute to high-impact global research.
About the Role
As a Research Manager, you’ll take a key role in delivering high-quality primary research across multiple therapy areas. You’ll work closely with senior team members to manage projects end-to-end, develop impactful deliverables, and help shape best-in-class research that blends qualitative, quantitative, and digital approaches.
This is a hands-on role in a business known for its tech-led innovation, use of AI, and strong client reputation. You’ll have visibility with clients, autonomy in day-to-day responsibilities, and the opportunity to help mentor junior researchers.
Project & Client Leadership
- Manage day-to-day elements of multiple research projects (qual + quant).
- Act as a trusted point-of-contact for clients; stay one step ahead on timelines, needs, and next steps.
- Anticipate challenges and recommend solutions to keep projects running smoothly.
- Contribute to proposal writing, costings, research design, and strategic thinking.
Research Excellence
- Write high-quality screeners, guides, questionnaires, and debrief materials independently.
- Moderate interviews (unviewed or simple viewed interviews).
- Visualise data and build compelling reports and presentations.
- Present sections of debriefs confidently to clients.
Tech & AI Integration
- Use company-approved AI tools and platforms daily to enhance efficiency and elevate output quality.
- Encourage and support others in adopting technology.
- Embrace digital, mixed-method, and new research approaches.
Team Culture & Leadership
- Help maintain a positive, collaborative culture.
- Mentor and develop junior team members; share knowledge and elevate their confidence.
- Lead by example with professionalism, positivity, and a solutions-focused mindset.
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years’ experience in pharma market research from a consultancy.
- Strong mixed-method experience (comfortable across qual and quant is preferred).
- Work ET and ability to travel (1x a month).
- Excellent project management, organisation, and communication skills.
- Confident writer and presenter with strong client-facing skills.
- Highly proficient in PowerPoint; confident in Excel and Word.
- Comfortable working across multiple projects simultaneously.
- Naturally proactive, detail-driven, and energised by doing great work.
- Passionate about leveraging AI and new technology to transform the research process.
- Must have the full right to work in the US now and in the future without restrictions.
This business values people who are:
- Positive, energetic, and fun to work with.
- Confident, proactive communicators.
- Able to think independently but thrive in a team-first culture.
- Driven, competitive in a healthy way, and proud of their work.
- Comfortable presenting, moderating, and sharing opinions confidently.
- Passionate about innovation, learning, and continual improvement.
What’s on Offer
- 15 days PTO, health cover, 401k match.
- Remote working, with flexible working hours.
- Work within a forward-thinking team that embraces innovation, new methodologies, and AI.
- Clear progression pathways, mentorship, and leadership exposure.
- Lots of opportunities for growth as the business expands.
- Opportunity to work across global markets with high-profile clients.
- A supportive, collaborative culture where everyone contributes to the company’s success.
