This Manager, Medical Communications role is ideally suited for an experienced Medical Communications professional with strong scientific expertise, strategy, project management, client-facing consultancy experience and a confident people manager who enjoys developing people and facilitating personal growth.
Candidates must have an advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD or MSc) and be keen to work in the Toronto office with the team 3 days a week.
Everything you need to know about the role
As Manager, Medical Communications you will contribute to high-quality scientific deliverables including medical education materials, training resources, publications, scientific platforms and congress materials.
- Ensure scientific excellence across all deliverables
- Manage and mentor a small team of 3-4 medical writers and analysts
- Support and lead client engagements, providing scientific input and guidance
- Oversee several client projects simultaneously across a range of therapeutic areas
- Run projects from start to finish
- Strategy development with clients including advisory boards, patient advocacy panels and KOL engagement
Experience and qualities that make you a strong fit
- An advanced degree in life sciences (PhD, PharmD, MSc or MD)
- 4+ years of experience in a medical communications agency or consultancy
- Experience managing projects and people in a fast-paced environment
- Strong scientific acumen and commitment to quality
- Client-focused with a collaborative mindset, strategic input and stakeholder management skills
