An exciting opportunity has opened for a commercially minded Strategic Account Manager to join an independent medical education organisation. This role is central to ensuring pharmaceutical and biotech partnerships are strategic, valuable and long-term.

This is a fully remote role for candidates based in the UK, with the expectation of travelling to London for team meetings and attending key industry congresses.

This is a strategic account management position focused on nurturing and expanding existing pharmaceutical and biotech partnerships.

You will take full ownership of assigned supporter relationships across the sponsorship lifecycle, ensuring partners clearly understand the impact and value of their involvement. The focus is on proactive engagement, thoughtful communication and identifying opportunities to deepen collaboration over time.

In this role, you will:

  • Act as the primary commercial contact for pharmaceutical and biotech partners
  • Deliver regular performance updates and value-driven touchpoints
  • Lead renewal conversations through continuous engagement
  • Identify opportunities for programme expansion, upgrades and additional sponsorship initiatives
  • Attend relevant medical congresses (UK and international) to strengthen relationships
  • Feed partner insights back into editorial, scientific and commercial discussions

Experience and qualities that make you a strong fit

  • 3+ years’ experience managing accounts within pharmaceutical, biotech or life sciences environments.
  • Medical Communications Account Management experience is ideal
  • Experience engaging with Medical Affairs or other scientific stakeholders
  • Strong commercial awareness combined with a partnership-first mindset
  • Confident discussing scientific and educational concepts
  • Highly organised, proactive and comfortable taking ownership
