About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Associate Director, Health Economics (HEOR) to lead and deliver high-quality health economic and outcomes research. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong track record in health economics and modeling, including hands-on technical expertise and experience overseeing complex, client-facing projects—ideally with global scope.
While the primary focus is at the Associate Director level, candidates with additional experience and leadership capabilities may be considered for a Director-level appointment.
Key Responsibilities

Provide scientific oversight for health economics and economic modeling projects

Design, develop, and implement health economic models, including cost-effectiveness and budget impact models

Ensure delivery of high-quality, client-ready project outputs (e.g., protocols, technical reports, slide decks)

Lead and contribute to the development of proposals for health economics projects

Act as a senior scientific and strategic point of contact for clients
Technical Responsibilities

Provide hands-on expertise in the design and development of health economic models, including required statistical analyses (either conducted directly or in collaboration with biostatisticians)

Ensure appropriate statistical diagnostics and adherence to methodological best practices

Collaborate on targeted and systematic literature reviews and evidence generation activities to support model parameterization

Apply knowledge of evidence synthesis methods (e.g., NMA, MAIC) to inform modeling requirements

Contribute to high-quality scientific writing across project deliverables
Leadership & Management

Mentor and support junior team members

Serve as a line manager, providing guidance, development, and performance feedback

Foster collaboration across multidisciplinary project teams

Lead proposal development efforts and contribute to business growth
Required Skills & Competencies

Strong leadership, managerial, and project management skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving capabilities

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Familiarity with statistical or data visualization software is an advantage
Education & Experience
-
MSc or PhD in Health Economics, Epidemiology, Statistics, Biostatistics, Public Health, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)

5+ years of health research experience, ideally within a consulting environment (academic experience also considered)

Proven experience leading health economic models and HEOR projects
-
Demonstrated experience in people management, leadership, and project delivery
