Carrot Life Sciences was selected as Signify Research's exclusive recruitment partner to suuport a new Research Operations function.

Research Operations Manager | Signify Research | UK

Carrot Life Sciences was selected as Signify Research‘s exclusive recruitment partner to support a critical organisational transformation and establish a newly created Research Operations function.

Requirements of the Hire

Signify Research, a leading healthcare technology market intelligence provider, was undergoing a significant organisational transformation as the business evolved from a project-led model towards a subscription-based offering.

As part of this change, Signify created a new Research Operations function responsible for research delivery, market analysts, forecasting and operational excellence.

Having partnered with Signify on a number of previous hires, the leadership team asked Carrot Life Sciences to identify a Research Operations Manager capable of establishing and leading the new function.

Following the successful appointment, Carrot was also tasked with recruiting two Research Analysts and one Senior Research Analyst to support the growth of the team.

Our Approach

To support Signify with this critical hire, we took a consultative and partnership-led approach focused on understanding the organisation, the new function and the type of individual required to establish it successfully.

Understanding the Requirement

The process began with an in-depth consultation with Signify’s leadership team to understand the objectives of the newly created function, the challenges facing the business and the skills required for success.

Tailored Candidate Engagement

To ensure the opportunity resonated with high-calibre talent, particularly individuals who were not actively seeking a move, we worked closely with our marketing team to develop tailored collateral.

This clearly communicated the opportunity, Signify’s position within the market and the strategic importance of the role, helping us build a compelling proposition for prospective candidates.

Specialist Market Knowledge

With extensive experience recruiting across market research, market intelligence, competitive intelligence and analytics, Carrot leveraged its specialist network to identify candidates with the right combination of technical capability, personal attributes and values to succeed within Signify’s culture and support its long-term growth ambitions.

Targeted Search & Partnership

Success came from a highly targeted search strategy combined with a strong value proposition that resonated with both active job seekers and high-quality passive talent.

Throughout the assignment, we worked closely with Signify’s leadership team, providing regular updates, sharing market intelligence and advising on salary benchmarking to support informed decision-making at every stage.

We presented a carefully selected shortlist of candidates and managed the interview process from start to finish, providing ongoing support and guidance to both Signify and each candidate throughout the recruitment journey.

Outcome

Following the initial briefing in March 2026, Carrot Life Sciences presented eight qualified candidates within a two-week period.

Four candidates progressed through to final interview stage, resulting in the successful appointment of a Research Operations Manager by the end of April 2026.

The success of the initial assignment led to an expansion of the partnership, with Carrot subsequently supporting the recruitment of two Research Analysts and one Senior Research Analyst, helping establish the foundations of the wider Research Operations team.

Since 2023, Carrot Life Sciences has delivered 19 successful hires across Signify Research.

The partnership continues today, with Carrot providing specialist hiring support, market intelligence and talent advisory services across a number of critical business areas.
