
The Opportunity
We’re working with an established and growing specialist healthcare strategy consultancy that partners with pharmaceutical and life sciences clients across a range of strategic challenges.
Having strengthened the team at Associate Consultant and Consultant level, they’re now looking to add an experienced Strategic Consultant who can take greater ownership of projects and client relationships, while also contributing to the development of junior colleagues and the continued growth of the business.
The role
This is a senior, hands-on consulting position where you’ll lead the day-to-day delivery of multiple projects and act as a primary point of contact for clients.
Projects can span areas including brand planning, launch planning, competitor strategy, early asset optimisation, segmentation and positioning.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the day-to-day delivery of multiple consulting projects
- Taking ownership of project planning, timelines, resources and delivery
- Acting as a primary point of contact for clients
- Developing a strong understanding of client challenges and building trusted relationships
- Taking an active role in designing project approaches and key deliverables
- Developing pre-reads, workshop decks and wider project materials
- Leading and facilitating workshops and breakout sessions
- Bringing strategic thinking to project outputs and recommendations
- Leading client calls, presentations and project discussions
- Coaching and supporting more junior members of the team
- Contributing to proposal development
- Identifying opportunities to grow existing client relationships
- Supporting wider business development and building your external network
- Contributing to internal initiatives as the consultancy continues to develop
About you
They’re particularly interested in candidates who have developed their experience within a life sciences strategy consultancy, with around 3–5 years’ experience ideally.
They will also consider candidates from healthcare/pharma market research or competitive intelligence backgrounds where there is a comprehensive level of experience and a clear strategic consulting skillset.
You’ll ideally be able to demonstrate:
- Experience working within the pharmaceutical, life sciences or healthcare sector
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Experience leading projects and taking ownership of delivery
- Confidence managing day-to-day client relationships
- Strong facilitation, presentation and communication skills
- Experience contributing to or leading client workshops
- Strong project management skills
- The ability to coach and support junior colleagues
- Experience contributing to proposals and business development
- A proactive, collaborative approach and the ability to work independently

- £60,000 – £90,000 salary
- Hybrid working – minimum 2 days per week in the office
