Everything you need to know about the role
This is a hands-on strategic client leadership role where you’ll take ownership of key healthcare and pharmaceutical accounts, acting as a trusted advisor to clients while helping shape the future direction of projects and partnerships.
You’ll:
- Lead strategic healthcare communications and digital programmes from planning through to delivery
- Build trusted senior-level client relationships and become a genuine extension of their team
- Challenge thinking, bring fresh ideas and confidently guide clients towards smarter solution
- Oversee integrated campaigns and content programmes designed to engage healthcare professionals in meaningful ways
- Work closely with strategy, creative, content and digital specialists to deliver joined-up, high-quality work
- Spot opportunities to grow accounts organically and contribute to wider business development activity
- Manage budgets, timelines and delivery across multiple projects while maintaining exceptionally high standards
- Mentor and support junior team members, helping develop capability and confidence across the wider client services team
- Play a visible role in shaping agency culture, standards and ways of working
Experience and qualities that make you a strong fit
- Strong healthcare/pharmaceutical agency experience within client services or account management
- Experience leading complex client accounts and multi-stakeholder projects
- Confident building relationships with senior clients and guiding strategic conversations
- A strong understanding of digital healthcare communications, content strategy and omnichannel engagement
- Comfortable working with scientific or clinical content and translating complexity into compelling communications
- Commercially aware, with experience managing budgets and identifying opportunities for account growth
- A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset with the confidence to challenge constructively
- Someone who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery
- Previous mentoring or team leadership experience would be highly valuable
- Ideal for either an ambitious SAM looking to step into an AD role, or an experienced AD seeking a fresh challenge in a more agile independent environment
