A global high-science medical communications agency is hiring a Senior Medical Writer to join a publications focused cardiovascular and hypertension account. This is a fully remote role for those living in East Coast locations in the United States.
You will join a well-regarded team of scientific and creative medical communicators who translate complex science into materials and messages delivered via multiple channels that really resonate with their audiences and ultimately change lives.
Everything you need to know about the role
This Senior Medical Writer will focus on publications deliverables for a cardiovascular and hypertension account. The writer will:
- Develop materials that are thoroughly researched, technically accurate, well-written, fully referenced and client ready.
- Take the lead on client communications, build trusted relationships and are confident to go on-site and run meetings such as advisory boards.
- Work with HCPs and subject matter experts to develop and/or approve materials
- Have an expert knowledge of client review and approval systems such as Veeva and DataVision.
- Keep the senior team updated on account activity, flagging any potential issues early
- Develop their reviewing skills and provide constructive feedback to junior team members
Experience and qualities that make you a strong fit
- This high-science team requires an advanced degree – PhD, MD or PharmD
- Around 3 years of medical writing experience in a Med Comms agency, working on publications deliverables
- Cardiovascular and/or hypertension experience would be an advantage
- Comfortable developing trusted relationships with clients and HCPs
- Able to review the deliverables of team members for scientific accuracy and integrity
- Proactive and curious to learn new things
