This company is dedicated to improving patient access to complex therapies, supporting chronic and rare disease management, and providing digital tools and patient engagement programmes. They operate at scale, managing thousands of patients annually, while working closely with NHS trusts, ICBs, and clinical teams to optimise service delivery and patient outcomes.

We are seeking a Regional NHS Services Director for a role which offers a unique opportunity to drive impact across the NHS by increasing service adoption, improving patient outcomes, and building trusted relationships with key stakeholders across London and as such the role will require proven experience across sales and business development.

Everything You Need to Know About This Role

In this role, you will be responsible for exceeding regional NHS service income targets by delivering strategic market access, mobilisation, and sales plans. You will lead initiatives to increase service penetration, improve service profitability, and enhance NHS advocacy and engagement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering agreed sales metrics, including patient volume, service income, and regional NPS targets.
  • Developing and executing annual sales and marketing plans, including account plans, education programs, digital innovations, and marketing campaigns.
  • Building and managing a robust pipeline of NHS opportunities to ensure growth targets are met.
  • Establishing and nurturing long-term, trusted relationships with NHS stakeholders across London trusts and ICBs.
  • Collaborating with clinical, operational, and finance colleagues to deliver and improve services, ensuring adequate staffing, IT systems, and processes for new and existing clients.
  • Identifying and responding to tender opportunities with support from the Bids & Tenders team.
  • Preparing strategic and tactical plans to convert leads into measurable business growth.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory standards, including CQC, GDP, NMC, GPHC, and ICO guidelines.

Experience & Qualities That Make You a Strong Fit

We are looking for a candidate who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You will ideally have:

  • Proven experience in customer account management and NHS engagement, ideally managing complex clinical or logistical services.
  • Strong finance and budget management skills, including sales forecasting.
  • Solid business development and sales revenue generation experience within healthcare.
  • Excellent leadership and people development skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
  • Strong planning and organisational abilities, able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience working with NHS structures, trusts, or ICBs is highly desirable.
  • A business management qualification is preferred but not essential.
