Are you an organised Account Manager or Project Manager looking to specialise in project delivery within a purpose-driven healthcare communications agency? We're partnering with an award-winning independent healthcare communications consultancy that's known for creating work that genuinely improves patient outcomes. With an exciting period of growth ahead, they're looking for a Project Manager to join their collaborative team and take ownership of delivering meaningful healthcare communications projects from start to finish.

Everything you need to know about the role

As Project Manager, you'll oversee the successful delivery of a diverse range of healthcare communications projects, working with pharmaceutical clients on programmes that support patients, healthcare professionals and clinical research. You'll become a key client contact for your projects, coordinating internal teams, managing budgets and ensuring everything is delivered on time, within scope and to an exceptional standard.

Whether you're currently in an Account Management or Project Management role, this is a fantastic opportunity to move into a dedicated project-focused position where organisation, collaboration and problem-solving are at the heart of everything you do.

  • Manage multiple healthcare communications projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring deadlines, budgets and quality standards are consistently achieved.
  • Act as the primary day-to-day client contact, building trusted relationships while keeping projects running smoothly.
  • Lead client and internal project meetings, documenting actions and ensuring progress is maintained across all workstreams.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines and milestones, proactively communicating changes and managing expectations.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across strategy, creative and content, alongside external suppliers, to deliver seamless integrated projects.
  • Identify risks and challenges early, implementing practical solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Manage project finances, including forecasting, invoicing, budget tracking and monitoring project scope.
  • Ensure robust quality control processes are followed, support continuous improvement by leading project reviews and contribute to a positive, collaborative culture

Experience and qualities that make you a strong fit

  • A minimum of 18 months experience in either Project Management or Account Management within a healthcare communications, healthcare advertising or medical communications agency.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy agency environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator, able to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues and external partners.
  • Experience managing project budgets, forecasting and financial administration.
  • A proactive, solution-focused mindset with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Collaborative approach with experience working across creative, content and strategic teams.
  • Scientific background, life sciences degree or project management qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Passion for delivering high-quality healthcare communications that make a genuine difference to patients and healthcare professionals.

What's on offer?

  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
  • Flexible hybrid working and a strong work-life balance.
  • The opportunity to join an award-winning independent healthcare communications consultancy with ambitious growth plans.
  • A supportive, people-first culture where collaboration, trust and personal development are genuinely valued.
  • Structured learning and development with clear opportunities to progress your career.
  • The chance to work on a varied portfolio of projects spanning patient engagement, clinical trial communications, disease awareness and healthcare education.
  • Meaningful work that helps improve health literacy, patient engagement and healthcare outcomes.
