Position Overview

A growing healthcare consulting team is seeking an Associate Director to lead evidence synthesis activities and support a range of health economics, epidemiology, and outcomes research initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing systematic review projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and delivering research insights that support healthcare decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning and execution of systematic literature reviews, including development of review protocols, study selection strategies, and interpretation of findings

  • Contribute to and support network meta-analyses and comparative effectiveness research, including indirect treatment comparisons and related methodologies

  • Manage multiple research projects simultaneously while coordinating internal team members and external collaborators

  • Maintain direct communication with clients, providing updates and ensuring project expectations are aligned

  • Prepare and review research outputs and presentations while ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and project timelines

  • Anticipate potential challenges within projects and collaborate with senior leadership to address risks and implement solutions

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior researchers and analysts

  • Contribute to scientific publications, reports, and other knowledge dissemination activities

Skills & Competencies

  • Demonstrated experience leading projects and managing research teams

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex findings clearly

  • Ability to manage priorities across multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment

  • Strong analytical thinking, organization, and problem-solving abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; experience with statistical or data visualization tools is considered an asset

Education & Experience

  • Master’s or PhD in Epidemiology, Health Economics, Biostatistics, Statistics, Public Health, Behavioral Science, or a closely related discipline, or comparable professional experience

  • Experience in health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), evidence synthesis, or epidemiologic research within consulting, academia, or industry settings is preferred
