Our client is a national service provider of ophthalmic surgery with a network of over 60 eye hospitals and almost 2,000 staff. As a frequent partner of the NHS, there is a great focus on patient care, safety and satisfaction in everything they do. This is evidenced by their maintaining of lowest waiting times and lowest complication rates amongst peers, as well as the overwhelming number of five-star feedback received from patients. All of their hospitals inspected by the CQC have been rated as 'Good' or 'Outstanding' and they have recently been awarded 'Investors in People' Platinum Accreditation. They are looking for a talented Service Promotions Executive to join the team and assist in their continued growth.

Everything you need to know about the role

Your role will be to establish, develop and maintain external relationships with new and current referrers across the territories of Kent & Medway. You will be responsible for route planning and travelling around the designated areas, whilst acting as the 1st point of contact for new and existing referrers, handling queries and complaints as appropriate. Additionally, you will also be promoting and attending events, open evenings, and presentations, which may also include attending conferences/exhibitions, and assisting in coordinating certain events where required.

Experience and qualities that make you a strong fit

This is a client-facing, field-based, sales role and as such we are looking for a proactive, and self-motivated sales professional who is comfortable interfacing with potential customers often. You will be working outside the hospital environment visiting opticians, referral management centres, and some GP's at their practices. This person will be flexible and organised, managing their own diary, meetings, and route planning, in order to maintain a strong performance across the territory. Existing experience within ophthalmology-related sales is an advantage, but by no means a firm requirements.
