National Market Development Manager

The Market Development Manager is responsible for defining and executing the market development strategy in the UK, in line with the business goals of the client across various customer segments and versus competitors. You will focus on translating business strategies into customer centric sales and marketing activities, and will work closely with the commercial teams on the go-to-market approach. This role will ultimately be accountable for the adoption of the company's product offering in their assigned market.

- Develop strategic business development plans for prioritised segments in the assigned Country, creating or using competitor analysis, business trends, market opportunities, and the staging/pacing of tactical programs to drive revenue growth.
- Work in close association with Sales Teams to deliver local revenue targets and partner with Local GM to align and execute marketing/sales strategies catered to clinicians, clinical laboratories and other relevant stakeholders.
- Act as a subject matter expert for our products in the Advanced Technology portfolio both internally and externally.
- Serve as a scientific reference for the medical community in the speciality of bladder cancer and promote fluid communication with the company.
- Consistently apply detailed analysis and routine reporting of local business performance to build, implement and adapt business plans.
- Develop and maintain relationships with KOLs/HCPs through consistent customer visits.
- Identify tenders and/or other opportunities for business growth in the respective territory.
- Propose and complete customer and market research programs to provide key market insights and implement actionable business outcomes in the UK.
- Build a network and collaborate within the AT organisation, the Global Sales and Global Marketing Teams, as well as with the affiliate(s) to ensure that all parties are aligned.
- Identify and engage relevant healthcare professionals, establish and maintain strong relationships to build awareness and identify insights and business opportunities within the local market.
- Drive Sales activation and sales enablement through direct and indirect channels as applicable.
Experience and qualities that make you a strong fit
- Scientific/Technical Degree in Biology, Biomedicine or adjacent fields.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Urology/Oncology sector is a mandatory requirement.
- Previous experience with IVD and bladder cancer products would be an advantage, as would experience in both visiting doctors and selling to molecular labs.
- Proven success in sales to key clients within the Urology/Oncology markets.
- Adaptable to working independently and in multi-disciplinary teams, and proficient in leading projects.
- A personal dedication to a high standard of work and attention to detail.
- Shows consistent initiative and determination.
- Excellent organisational skills, planning, communication, and follow-up skills.
- Fluent in English and the local language(s).
