Are you a skilled Medical Writer looking for the next step in your medical communications career? We’re partnering with a leading global agency who are looking for a confident Medical Writer to join their London-based team. This is an ideal opportunity to build on your scientific writing experience while supporting junior colleagues and working on impactful healthcare campaigns.
Everything you need to know about the role
As a Medical Writer you’ll be responsible for producing accurate, engaging content across a range of deliverables. You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams and clients, contributing to project success through scientific rigour, editorial precision and a proactive mindset.
You’ll also help to support junior team members and contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing and learning.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Independently processing scientific data to develop clear, high-quality deliverables that align with brand and project objectives.
- Engaging in client calls and meetings to help refine briefs
- Managing smaller projects or aspects of larger ones, ensuring timelines, quality, and budgets are maintained.
- Supporting and mentoring junior writers, promoting inclusivity and professional development.
- Collaborating with wider internal teams and staying informed of scientific and industry updates.
Experience and qualities that make you a strong fit
- A minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in an agency based medical communications writing role
- Broad knowledge of therapy areas and a strong grounding in scientific content.
- Degree in life sciences (MSc or PhD advantageous).
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong editorial quality control skills.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and time management abilities.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a passion for science and healthcare storytelling.
