Carrot Recruitment are partnering with an emerging Clinical Trials Facility focused within respiratory studies as well as other therapeutic areas including oncology, gastro-enterology and ophthalmology. Due to an increasing portfolio of studies and an ever-increasing need for development in this sector space. our client is looking for an experienced Clinical Research Nurse or Senior Clinical Research Nurse to expand their team.

Given the nature of this role, to be considered, you must be a qualified nurse with an up-to-date NMC registration and have experience in Clinical Trials.

 

Everything you need to know about the role   

  • Support the set-up and day-to-day delivery of clinical trials in accordance with GCP and all regulatory and ethical guidelines.
  • Carry out patient screening, recruitment, and follow-up visits, ensuring adherence to trial protocols and safeguarding patient well-being.

  • Perform clinical tasks such as venepuncture, ECGs, and administration of investigational products, as outlined in study protocols.

  • Promote a high standard of care, you will carry out tasks such as monitoring subjects with appropriate escalation.

  • Accurately collect and enter data into electronic case report forms (eCRFs) and maintain essential study documentation.

  • Work closely with Principal Investigators, study coordinators, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth trial operations.

  • Provide clear information, education, and support to participants throughout their involvement in the study.

  • Ensure all trial activities are conducted in compliance with research governance, MHRA, and HRA requirements.

Experience and qualities that make you a strong fit  â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

  • NMC-registered nurse with experience in clinical research 
  • Knowledge of GCP and clinical trial regulations (prior research experience preferred).

  • An understanding of ethical practice and confidentiality

  • Proven clinical skills and experience in patient assessments and relevant procedures.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively in a dynamic environment.

  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Demonstrates initiative and sound clinical judgement, with an ability to manage adverse events or clinical incidents.

  • Certificate in basic or intermediate life support essential
