This year marks the 20th anniversary of Carrot Recruitment, representing two decades of growth, partnership and impact across the life sciences, healthcare and consultancy recruitment markets.

Established in 2006, Carrot Recruitment was founded with a clear objective: to build a specialist recruitment business underpinned by deep technical expertise, sector insight and long-term relationships. Drawing on extensive experience across Pharma, Biotech, MedTech and consulting, the business was designed to support organisations across the full product lifecycle – from early concept through to commercialisation – with a recruitment offering grounded in genuine sector understanding.

Over time, the leadership team expanded, strengthening the strategic direction and culture of the organisation. This continuity of leadership remains central to the business today, ensuring Carrot Recruitment continues to operate with clarity of purpose, consistency and a strong commitment to its core values.

From the outset, Carrot Recruitment has differentiated itself through true specialism. Our consultants combine strong technical knowledge with real industry credibility, enabling us to provide a highly consultative recruitment service. This focus on remaining fully connected to the sectors we serve has been fundamental to how we operate for the past 20 years and continues to shape our approach today.

During this time, Carrot Recruitment has partnered with more than 1,200 organisations and supported over 10,000 vacancies across its specialist markets. We have also helped more than 4,000 candidates secure new roles across 11 countries, supporting long-term career development within life sciences and healthcare.

The business has worked with over half of the world’s top 50 Pharma and Biotech companies, alongside a wide range of MedTech organisations. In addition, Carrot Recruitment has established a strong track record within consultancy sectors including Market Access, Healthcare Communications, Business Intelligence and CROs, building a reputation as a trusted recruitment partner within highly specialised and competitive markets.

In 2023, Carrot Recruitment joined the Compass Recruitment Solutions Group (CRS), marking an important milestone in its evolution. As part of CRS, the business has enhanced its capabilities and reach while retaining the specialist focus, independence and values that have defined Carrot Recruitment since its inception.
