Everything you need to know about the role
This is not a traditional strategy role.
You’ll operate as a strategic partner, facilitator and coach — working closely with clients to define objectives, shape messaging and guide the development of creative, experience-led solutions.
From the outset, you’ll immerse yourself in client challenges, building deep relationships and acting as a trusted advisor. You’ll lead the creation of clear, insight-driven briefs, ensuring internal teams are aligned and inspired to deliver their best work.
A key part of the role is facilitation and coaching - helping clients and internal teams cut through complexity, align on direction and make confident decisions. Whether leading workshops, shaping content or guiding learning experiences, you’ll play a central role in driving clarity and impact.
You’ll also act as the strategic conscience of projects, ensuring all outputs remain aligned to objectives while pushing for creativity, innovation and quality.
Alongside delivery, you’ll contribute to business growth, identifying opportunities within existing relationships and supporting the evolution of the agency’s offering.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with clients to uncover business challenges, audience needs and communication objectives
- Developing clear, insight-led communication strategies and briefs to guide delivery
Leading internal alignment across creative and delivery teams - Presenting strategic thinking and recommendations with confidence at a senior level
Shaping and guiding creative concepts to ensure strategic integrity and impact - Designing and delivering engaging workshops, facilitation sessions and learning experiences
- Coaching clients and teams to support decision-making, clarity and alignment
Acting as a strategic quality control across projects - Identifying opportunities for organic growth and supporting new business initiatives
- Contributing to the ongoing development of the agency’s strategic and coaching offering
Experience and qualities that make you a strong fit:
You’ll be an experienced strategist or communications professional who enjoys working closely with clients, influencing thinking and bringing structure to complexity.
This role would suit someone who thrives in a consultative, insight-led environment, and who is equally comfortable shaping strategy, facilitating conversations and guiding creative output.
You don’t need to come from a traditional “Strategy Director” background but you do need strong experience in communications, events or engagement-led environments, along with the confidence to operate at a senior level.
You’ll bring:
- 7+ years’ experience within communications, events, brand or strategic consultancy roles
- A strong track record of developing communication strategies and leading programmes end-to-end
- Experience working with senior stakeholders and presenting strategic thinking
- Excellent facilitation and/or coaching skills (or a strong interest in developing these)
- The ability to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives
- A strategic mindset combined with creativity and curiosity
- Strong interpersonal skills with an empathetic, collaborative approach
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to challenge constructively
